He said he doesn’t believe we become different people as we age. No, he says he believes we become more people. We’re still the kids we were, but we’re also the people who’ve lived all the different ages since that time.

I’ve always been a storyteller—whether through a camera lens, business strategy, or the simple joy of conversation over coffee. My journey started in Northwest Indiana, where I spent years immersed in architecture and design. But life had other plans. At 13, I faced Wilm’s Tumor, a rare childhood cancer. The battle was tough—chemo, radiation, the uncertainty of it all—but it shaped me. It gave me grit, perspective, and an unshakable appreciation for the moments that make life meaningful.

That perspective led me to a career in healthcare. I started as an EMT, then became a cardiovascular and sleep technician, dedicating myself to helping others. In 1998, I married Kate, my rock, and a year later, we welcomed our daughter, Isabella. Midnight shifts didn’t leave much time for family, so I pivoted—helping hospitals, physicians, and startups grow, while also teaching entrepreneurship. But no matter where life took me, photography was always there. I bought my first Nikon at 19, and ever since, I’ve been capturing the world as I see it—raw, real, and full of stories.

In 2020, we packed up and moved to Seaside, Oregon—the most beautiful place I’ve ever lived. The North Coast stole my heart instantly. The wild ocean, the ever-changing skies, the towering forests—it’s alive in a way that words can’t fully capture. And it’s here that Truffle Shuffle Media was born. Through photography and video, I celebrate this place, its people, and its stories, giving anyone who loves the coast access to high-quality, free-to-use media.

When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll find me managing operations at Randall Lee’s Flooring America, creating the Connected Coast Video Series, or simply exploring the coastline with my family and dog Juniper. If you see me out and about, don’t be a stranger—say hi, grab a coffee, and let’s share a story or two.

The Oregon Coast has a way of bringing people together. Let’s celebrate it, capture it, and keep its stories alive—together.
